Course Objectives
Upon Completion of this course the participant will be able to understand and apply basics of Instrumentation and Controls for automation.
Description

Although technology has gone leaps and bounds in automation, fundamental or basic concept to the success of any automation remains unchanged. The course covers basic field Instrumentation and Control System used in process automations.

Module 2
Instrumentation Design and Detail Engineering
Course Objectives
Upon Completion of this course the participant will be able to understand role of field instrumentation and project documentation; Understand project engineering.
Description
This is an introductory course, which aims to build a good understanding about the basics of Instrumentation Design and Detailed Engineering. The course covers role of applications, specifications, instrumentation symbols, P & ID, instrument specifications, instrumentation detailed engineering drawings and instrumentation Bill of Material.
Course Outline
Instrumentation Detailed Engineering, Selection of field instrumentation, Instrumentation documentation: Symbols, specifications, index sheet, hook-up diagrams, calibration records, test and inspection reports, installation sketches, accessories and fittings; Field instrumentation documents; Project engineering techniques.

Instrumentation Installation and Commissioning
Course Objectives
Upon Completion of this course the participant will be able to understand site related activities involved in Instrumentation and Control project, how to read and utilize engineering deliverables for installation and commissioning purposes.
Description
This is an introductory course, which aims to build a good understanding about the field related activities involved in Instrumentation and Control. The course covers role of Instrumentation Site supervisor, technician and engineering coordinator.
Course Outline
Instrumentation Installation and Commissioning activities such as reading engineering deliverables, testing of field Instruments, Install field Instruments as per engineering installation drawings, Site acceptance and factory acceptance test and commissioning of Instrumentation and Control System.
